CHELSEA WANTS A MASSIVE OVERHAUL

Chelsea are seeking a massive overhaul of the current squad in place ahead of next season. The current English Premier League champions have had a disappointing season. With the new coach in Anthonio Conte coming in, there have been reports that the Italian is preparing a massive overhaul that will see Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore, Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan and Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci make appearances for The Blues next season.

Chelsea also have their eyes on KAA Gent striker Glenn Diedhiou, also according to reports from Belgium newspaper Het Nieuwsblad. The player had an amazing season last year with his over 40 goals as he surged through the youth ranks, settling in the Under-18. The newspaper reported that Chelsea are among a trio of clubs who are keen to sign the young talent. The others being Bruge and Anderlecht.

However, the 16-year-old is reported to be more interested in growing the ranks and even prefers a new deal with the Pro League club.

Aside The Blues, other English Premier League teams are looking at boosting their various squads as the competition for titles keeps getting stiffer, as even ‘smaller’ now know they can get the title with dedication, clear example being EPL favourites this season in Leicester City.

At Old Trafford, there have been recent reports that the coach has picked up a liking for KV Mechelen defender Keith Groeneveld. The player is reported to be on trial with the club already. Belgian newspaper HLN claims the youngster is on trial at Old Trafford after an earlier invitation.

The teenage sensation is reported to also have an offer from Belgium Pro League giants Standard Liege but The Red Devils want the deal as it is believed to be part of the club’s youth recruitment drive by the coach, Louis van Gaal. The coach has already 14 academy graduates their debuts this season.

West Bromwich Albion, Liverpoool and Tottenham also have plans to add more additions to their teams.
