BERBATOV GIVES HIS PREDICTIONS FOR ARSENAL VS CHELSEA

 

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has backed Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to come out on top and secure all three points in the London derby against Chelsea on Boxing Day. The two rivals meet on Saturday and there is a huge difference between the two clubs currently both in form and in the table standings.


Chelsea are currently the fifth team in the Premier League table, while their rivals sit pretty close to the relegation zone in 15th position after a run of disastrous form this season. Of their 14 Premier League games so far this season, Arsenal have lost 8. In their last league game, they were beaten by Everton at Goodison Park but will be looking to vanish their recent form and aim to get a win against Chelsea.

MASON MOUNT WARNS CHELSEA TEAMMATES

 

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has sounded a note of warning to his teammates ahead of the crucial league game at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Blues are guests of Wolves at the Molineux on Tuesday evening in what’s the first game of week 13. Ahead of the game, Mason Mount told his Chelsea teammates that they can’t feel sorry for themselves after the loss at Everton last weekend. Mason Mount was on for the entire duration of the gamebut failed to prevent the Blues from losing 1-0 to hosts Everton on Saturday night.


Everton secured a big win over Chelsea via the first half spot kick from ex-Tottenham Hotspur player Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Icelandic international scored the only goal of the game midway into the first half after he capitalized on a rare error from Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Senegalese international shot stopper Mendy needlessly brought down Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the box and Sigurdsson made no mistake from the spot midway into the first half. Chelsea never recovered from that setback aa they went on to lose for the first time in eleven games.

Premier League giants Chelsea are ready to reward French defender Kurt Zouma with the offer of a new contract following his impressive start to the new season. Kurt Zouma has been one of the standout defenders in the opening weeks of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.


The news of the contract offer from Chelsea to Kurt Zouma was revealed by renowned transfer guru Fabrizio Romano via his podcast earlier on Wednesday.

CHELSEA TO LAUNCH OFFICIAL BID FOR HAVERTZ

 

Chelsea have submitted an official bid for German star Kai Havertz, per reports. The Bayer Leverkusen man has been linked to the club for many weeks now. The club looks to wrap up a deal for the midfielder before the start of the new season.


Havertz, 21, scored an outstanding 18 goals and registered nine assists in the 2019-2020 season. Havertz has been on the Blues’ radar for some time now. The Blues have Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner already, but they strongly feel Havertz will make the team more wholesome.  Manager Frank Lampard is still keen to Havertz as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for top honours next season.

CHELSEA TO FACE VILLA IN LEAGUE RESTART

 

Chelsea would face Aston Villa on June 21 in their first game as the Premier League resumes the 2019/20 season. The league has confirmed the schedule of the first three matches as the fans get excited. The Blues will go away to Villa in the 4.15pm game to be broadcast by Sky Sports. Chelsea will host Premier League defending champions Man City four days after the Villa clash at 8.15pm live on BT Sport. They will go away to West Ham on July 1 at 8.15pm as well to be broadcast on Sky.


The Blues are expected to take at least seven points from these games as the race for Champions League qualification toughens up. Victories against Villa and West Ham would not come easy,but Frank Lampard and his boys can’t afford to slip up else Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers close the gap. Against City at Stamford Bridge, it would be an all-out war, but a draw remains fanciful as a City decimation is unlikely.

WILLIAN WANTS EPL STAY AHEAD OF CHELSEA EXIT

Willian has declared intention to continue in the premier league. The Brazil international will depart Chelsea at the end of the season and he is looking forward to continuing his career in England.


The Brazilian winger’s contract is set to run out at the end of the season. Willian has attracted interest from hosts of top clubs around Europe. In the Premier league, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have made their intention known about the player. Arsenal are also monitoring the player’s situation.
