Conte proud of his players

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stated that he is proud of his players after their victory against Everton.

He said that this match was a tricky one and that it was important to respond with the right attitude. The Italian manager said that many people were predicting that Chelsea was a club in crisis after the defeat in their opening game, but he believes that they have responded well.

He said that the second game away to Spurs was not an easy one, but they managed to come out of it with an important victory. He said that last season they were outclassed in this corresponding fixture, but they have managed this time to get out with a victory.

Similarly, the game against Everton last weekend was a tough one, and they managed to win convincingly. He said that Everton has strengthened well during the summer and that they will be causing problems to many sides but he believes that his players have responded well to the challenge. JOHN TERRY OFF TO THE MLS

As the season gradually winds down, there are some players that rumoured to be on their way out of the Premier League at the end of the term.

Chelsea legend John Terry is one of the top contenders to exit the league after a long time. The former Three Lions star is likely to exit Stamford Bridge for the Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy being the likely destination, according to reports.

LA Galaxy have lost Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane but as the season starts this weekend, Terry could still join this summer – with hopefully him lifting the Premier League and leaving on a high. His contract is set to end in July but by current indications, Coach Antonio Conte would not give him a new deal. The 36-year old still has experience that would be helpful to the Galaxy in their title charge. Continue reading “JOHN TERRY OFF TO THE MLS”

WILLIAN SET TO START FOR CHELSEA AGAIN

Chelsea playmaker Willian is set to star again for the club after almost two months.

The Brazilian lost his mother and he was granted a compassionate leave to return home in October. Willian has not started a game since then but insists that he is ready to get his start now.

Since Chelsea found a rhythm that works, Willian has settled for the impact substitute role. He came on in the clash against Manchester City to get the second goal earlier this month. The player was brilliant for Chelsea last season even when his teammates were not in fine form. He said current manager Antonio Conte has been supporting him in his tough times. He added that he wanted to fully contribute to the team’s brilliant run.

“The manager changed the team because I was in a difficult moment. I lost my mum and I had to stay in Brazil for a few days. I missed some games and the team started to win and play well. Pedro came in and he did very well. Continue reading “WILLIAN SET TO START FOR CHELSEA AGAIN”

VICTOR MOSES ENJOYING FOOTBALL AGAIN

Chelsea star Victor Moses says he is enjoying his football at Stamford Bridge again.

The Nigeria international has been phenomenal for the Blues under the new manager’s arrangement. Coach Antonio Conte made tactical changes that saw the player get a starting shirt in the new set-up. The player was signed by Chelsea three years ago, but he has spent a better part of his Chelsea life on loan.

“I’m feeling happy, I’m feeling excited and right now I’m looking forward to every game. The most important thing is getting out on the pitch and enjoying your football, and that’s what I am doing at the moment. It’s also good to have a team that believes in your ability and encourages you to keep driving on and playing well,” Moses told the club’s website.
Moses added that he appreciated the support of the fans, and that he has “a huge amount of respect and love for them as well.”

Antonio Conte has bemoaned not having proper support

While departing, Antonio Conte has bemoaned not having proper support from the authorities of his National Federation.

For Conte, the only person standing by him most of the time was the chairman, but, even though he was the head, it was not possible for him to do a lot without having the others on board.

However, according to Conte, the Euro Championship was a conclusion of all the work done by him with Italy in the last 24 months and he is grateful and thankful for the positive vibes generated by the supporters.

Conte also revealed that it was not very long back that he was willing for the chance to go further with the Italy job. In fact, till the last winters he had no ambitions to cut the ties with Azzurri, but, due to some particular developments, he didn’t push on the future talks. Also, around that same time, the offer from Chelsea came beckoning and his reaction to such a thrilling proposition happened to be positive.

The 46-year old is now moving forward with a lot of clarity. He says he doesn’t see himself returning to Italy’s ranks for any second tenure and he would possibly spend the rest of his career in club management only.

Conte would look to shrug off the sadness of the Germany loss in the little time that he has before he moves to another venture where challenging times are certainly in store for him. His daring personality, however, would only enjoy that. Continue reading “Antonio Conte has bemoaned not having proper support”

Chelsea And Adidas End Sponsorship Deal

Sponsorship of Adidas for Chelsea FC is coming to an end after mutual agreement.

If you thought that the sponsor company only pays the club to sponsor its games, you are in the wrong. This time, in order to break the deal, the club has to pay up a significant sum. Adidas is known to be one of the largest gear makers for athletes in Europe. The company had a sponsorship deal with Chelsea Football Club. The company had tied up and agreed to sponsor its games and sportswear as well. The pact is being ended about six years before the contract would have expired.

Adidas, the German based sports and athletic wear and Supplies Company, stated that the agreement with the club would end by June 30th 2017 instead of June 2023 which was the initial deal. The agreement is being ended to allow the club to start another agreement with another competitor brand. The rival company has not been named as yet, but it will probably be between Puma and Nike. Puma is also a German based athletic wear brand that usually takes up competitive deals with Adidas. Continue reading “Chelsea And Adidas End Sponsorship Deal”
