Terry needs to be replace

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has stated that Chelsea needs to replace aging players such as John Terry if they want to dominate English football.

He said that the team needs to have a proper plan in place for players such as John Terry, BranislavIvanovic, and Gary Cahill so that they do not find themselves in trouble when they stop playing. He believes that replacements need to be identified now so that they can be ready when the mature players retire.

The former French international said that it was a bad campaign last season and that Chelsea should find ways to avoid such problems to happen again. He believes that Antonio Conte is the right person to bring the club forward.

Frank Leboeuf said that although he is not a Chelsea player anymore, he still follow the team and said that he wants the best for the team. He believes that the only way forward is for the Italian manager to bring new players in the team so as to replace the aging stars. He admitted that at the moment there is not a proper player development plan in place, and this is what is preventing the team from going forward.

He sincerely hopes that the team will be able to compete this season and believe they will end up in the top four. But he believes that the manager will need to bring in some new players if the team is going to challenge for the title. At the moment he thinks that the team is a bit short on quality as well as quantity.

He believes that the manager should make a decision about the older players. Although they have been outstanding for Chelsea in the past, most of them are past their prime and should be replaced.
